Canada vs. the World 1
One of the greatest stories Drag Race has ever told came to a close this season.
What exactly Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. The World Season 1 would be was a major question heading into it. The international crossover season would crown our final champion of the year, after UK vs. The World crowned the first after a divisive season. True to its Canadian spirit, this season was a much warmer, less fractured installment of the show. While that led to less drama — barring Icesis Couture’s shocking quit and off-show comments about production — the competition remained fierce. And in the end, Drag Race finished telling perhaps the greatest story it ever produced: Silky Nutmeg Ganache and Ra’Jah O’Hara’s four-year journey across the franchise. Though she wasn’t at her strongest competitively this season, Ra’Jah’s crowning nonetheless made for a heartwarming capper on Drag Race in 2022.
