Canada Season 6
Canada’s Drag Race produces a banger of a season — albeit one that doesn’t quite stick the landing.
If Canada’s Drag Race took too many big swings in its fifth season, Season 6 made all the right adjustments. A killer cast of queens — including villainous fashionista Van Goth, dancing diva Karamilk, and gender-bending “queerdo” PM — helped bring to life some excellent challenge design and runway prompts. The narrative of the season came down to Van and her ally, Eboni La’Belle, while fans rallied most around viral sensation Sami Landri. Unfortunately, despite nothing but banger episodes up until the last two, the season struggled to land the plane. Van’s actions turned her from rootable villain to season antagonist, and watching her triumph over Eboni left a bad taste in my mouth. It’s still a terrific season, but falls just short of being Canada’s all-time best.
