Season 13
Season 13 clocked in at the time as the longest regular season since Season 3.
While Season 12 had to contend with airing during a pandemic, Season 13 faced producing a season in a pandemic. Production’s position was unenviable, but the team behind Drag Race still turned out an entertaining run of episodes. Perhaps too many, in fact; Season 13 was the first to set the modern standard of airing for 16 episodes, and did so with a cast of only 13 queens. Too many non-elimination weeks led to a sense of fatigue, as did the eliminations of fan favorite queens like Tamisha Iman, Denali, and Utica Queen. In the end, it was Symone, Gottmik, Rosé, and Kandy Muse who made it to season’s end, and Symone who triumphed with the crown.
